The commission advises the City Council all matters pertaining to personnel administration; when requested by the City Council hold hearings and makes recommendations on any matters of personnel administration within the limits of such request; hears appeals submitted by any person in the classified service as set forth in the Montebello Municipal Code, and other such duties as directed by the City Council.
Montebello’s elected officials may not serve on the commission. Commissioners may not serve on more than one commission at the same time.
Commissioners shall receive a $50 stipend for each meeting attended.
